Assessment_ Neus Sanmartí

Neus Sanmartí has been referenced several times in the course and we all knew she is an expert worth reading. Here's an example of one of her published materials:

Online Quizzes

Today we have looked at three apps to create online quizzes and assess our students: GOOGLE FORMS, SOCRATIVE and PLICKERS.

Plickers is a fun way of assessing our students. The teacher prints out some plickers and projects a quiz. After scanning all the plickers, the results appear on the screen and are visible to everybody.  PLICKER

I already use Google Forms in class and I think it's very useful. In Classroom, it allows to band the sts'access to any other website and limit the time. If you want the test to be more practical, you could even upload video or audio comprehension questions, for example.

Socrative allows you to create online quizzes and get instant feedback (making it private or public), depending on your needs. You can also ask students to answer the quiz in teams without changing any sitting arrangements.SOCRATIVE

Cardboard Camera

What a cool 360º view of our class!

VR Expeditions

In today's lesson we have discovered what virtual reality means. We have been able to see some of the amazing examples of expeditions that are created by Google. Here's a list of 5 expeditions I would use with 1ESO students.

Whale watching, Robin Hood, Life of a Refugee, Expetidion to Mars, discovering our digestive system can be topics which might appeal our students. In fact, all the expeditions in the list were amusing so any could make a perfect choice.

Augmented Reality with BLIPPAR

In today's lesson we've discovered several augmented reality apps like BLIPPAR and QUIVERVISION. These apps help you get information and take you to some hidden reality which can make learning fun and entertaining.

By scanning some triggers (markers or blipps), a new image, a video or  a 360º view Will pop up in your device. Here's an example of a planet 360º view with information on each planets. Such a useful tool when studuing the solar system.

Indeed, these apps can be used in all subjects. In English, I would use them to create Festival& Holiday related gymkhanas (Halloween, Christmas,…), or I could use them to make some of the projects look nicer. For example, when having to describe their home, they could make real videos and pictures with augmented reality of their bedroom. Just an example….!

OUR VIDEO: PRACTICAL ENGLISH. A MEETING IN LONDON

Flipgrid Tutorial

Flipgrid is such a useful tool to keep videos together. As an educator, it allows you to create classes where all your students can post their videos and participate in forums.
Here's a link of a Rosa Liarte's Tutorial. Click on the image.

Dubbing Videos

Today I've discovered an easy and useful way of dubbing videos on YouTube with TubeDubber. With my mates Joan and Montse, we have chosen two video speeches of The King of Spain and Donald Trump's most bizarre speeches.

Find the two links below:

Keep Calm Meme!

Here's our MEME. Lluis, M.Àngels and I (Glòria), created it for you. I bet no one would like it as a T-shirt message but we had fun doing it. Well worth it!

As the graphic shows, learning is a connected practice. In the learning community, we should all interact and learn openly, cooperatively, socially, relevantly, effectively, autonomously, purposely, innovatively,.....and why not? ICT CONNECTED!

Here's a present for you all!
This picture shows a beautiful landscape of Switzerland. I have chosen it because it's a source of inspiration for me, especially at some times when I'm extremely busy. I like to stop for a moment and look at amazing pictures like this. It makes me get some energy and think of my next holidays.
